By Air
Fly into Kraków
The nearest international airport is Kraków John Paul II International Airport (KRK), approximately 70 km from Brzesko. Direct flights operate from London, Dublin, Amsterdam, Paris, and many other European cities. From the airport, take a taxi or pre-booked transfer directly to Brzesko (approx. 1 hour), or take the train from Kraków Główny station.
By Train
Kraków to Brzesko
Regular trains run from Kraków Główny to Brzesko Okocim station, with a journey time of approximately 1 hour. Trains depart several times daily. We recommend booking in advance via the PKP Intercity website. Brzesko Okocim station is a short taxi ride from the Palace.
By Car
Self-drive or hire
Brzesko is located just off the A4 motorway, which runs directly from Kraków eastward. From Kraków city centre the drive takes approximately 50 minutes. Car hire is available at Kraków Airport from all major providers. Parking is available at the palace for the duration of the weekend.
Where to Stay
We have arranged a room block at the palace itself, and have also worked with a local nearby hotel .
Goetz Palace — On-site Rooms
A limited number of rooms are available within the palace itself for the wedding weekend. These are reserved exclusively for the wedding party and close family. If you believe you have been allocated a palace room, please contact us directly to confirm.

Hotel August Brzesko
A comfortable, well-regarded hotel in central Brzesko. This hotel backs on to the grounds of the Palace and will have direct access during the wedding. Clean, modern rooms with good facilities. We recommend this hotel for the sheer ease of access. Please quote Jasinski-Futcher in your booking.
Kraków City Hotels
For guests who prefer the city, Kraków offers a wide range of hotels at every price point. We would recommend Jewish Quarter, known as Kazimierz, as this gives you the most direct route to the venue. From Kraków, a taxi or train to Brzesko takes approximately one hour.
We recommend the Jewish Quarter
Shuttle Transfers
We will be arranging a shuttle bus service between Kraków and Brzesko on the Friday 28 and Sunday 30 May. Full details including pick-up times and locations will be shared closer to the date. If this is something you would like to join, please let us know when you RSVP.
Taxi Services
Taxis in Kraków are readily available and cheap, with Uber being the best option. A trip from the city centre to the palace costs around £30. Brzesko is slightly harder to secure a taxi, so booking in advance is advised. While local trips within Brzesko are cheap, a taxi back to Kraków costs around £80. A local firm we have used and recommend is MK Taxi, reachable on +48 609 084 381.
Local Tips
Currency
Poland uses the Polish Złoty (PLN). ATMs are widely available in Brzesko and Kraków. Most hotels and restaurants accept card payments.
Language
Polish is the local language. English is widely spoken in hotels and tourist areas. A few words of Polish — dziękuję (thank you), proszę (please) — will always be warmly received.
Weather in May
Late May in southern Poland is typically mild and pleasant, with average temperatures of 15–22°C. Pack a light layer for evenings outdoors. Rain is possible, so a compact umbrella is worth bringing.
Explore Kraków
If you are making a trip of it, Kraków's Old Town, Wawel Castle, and the Kazimierz district are not to be missed. We recommend arriving a day or two early to explore.
